Maurice Sendak, Carole King’s ‘Really Rosie’ To Make Levoy Theatre Debut in Youth-Powered OBSP Production

March 2, 2014 — Rehearsals are underway for the Off Broad Street Players’ (OBSP) production of Really Rosie, which begins March 21 at the restored Levoy Theatre in Millville, New Jersey. Written by best-selling children’s author Maurice Sendak and featuring the music of Grammy winner Carole King, the show shines a spotlight on the imaginations of children and highlights the young talent of the regional community theater group.

Directed by OBSP Youth Board members Katie Kiessling and Kyle Devich, Really Rosie features 36 performers ages 7 to 14 and tells the story of Rosie’s dreams of stardom and the Brooklyn neighborhood friends she casts in a basement production of her self-written and starring movie.

With performances March 21 at 8 p.m. and March 22 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., OBSP’s production features the talents of the following performers:
