November 7, 2014 — One of Broadway’s most beloved musicals, Oliver!, will make its debut at the beautifully renovated Levoy Theatre in historic Millville next Friday night—produced by the Off Broad Street Players (OBSP) and powered by time and talent volunteered by a large and diverse group of area arts enthusiasts.

Based on Charles Dickens’ literary classic Oliver Twist, Oliver! is a three-time Tony Award winner chronicling a young orphan’s quest for family and a loving home on the dangerous streets of Victorian London. The show features 16 of Broadway’s most well-known tunes, including “Food, Glorious Food,” “Where Is Love?,” “I’d Do Anything,” “Oom-Pah-Pah,” and “As Long as He Needs Me.”

OBSP Founder and Artistic Director Walter A. Webster directs a cast of nearly 50 performers ranging in ages from younger than 10 to older than 80. Comprising students (elementary through college), sales and retail professionals, banking managers, teachers, retirees, and more, the cast transforms into Dickensian inhabitants of 19th century London, brought to vivid, multi-story life by the master designers and builders of Envision Productions.

Performances are Friday, November 14, and Saturday, November 15, at 8 p.m.; Sunday, November 16, at 3 p.m.; Thursday, November 20, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, November 21, and Saturday, November 22, at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, November 23, at 3 p.m.
