Off Broad Street Players Announce Cast of Shrek the Musical’

May 26, 2015 — An ogre, a princess, a talking donkey, a vertically challenged villain, and a smitten dragon are headed to Millville’s historic Levoy Theatre, and the Off Broad Street Players (OBSP) have found just the cast of veteran and first-time OBSP performers to bring them to life in Shrek the Musical.

The Broadway sensation, based on DreamWorks Animation’s 2001 blockbuster Shrek, will debut at the Levoy Theatre on July 31 and run through August 9.

OBSP veterans Rocco Barbera, Alexis Lounsbury, and Shaun Laurencio are Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey, respectively. Sidney Maycock and Carmen Delia Bryant will make their OBSP debuts as Lord Farquaad and Dragon.

The ensemble is a near equal mix of new and returning members of OBSP, the resident theatre company at the Levoy Theatre. It includes Andrew Jarema (Pinocchio), P.J. Muniz, C.J. Jarema, Jason D. Smith, Aaron Blandino, Jacob Miranda, Domonic Barnes, Kyle Devich, Ben Hunt, Matthew Lischin (Young Shrek), Jessica Andrews (Gingy), Gabriella Sanitate, Laura Frye, Katie Kiessling, Shannon Sheridan, Victoria Rose (Teen Fiona), Caitlin Geisser, Mikaela Simon, Kyra Janaé Bryant, Marissa Parrott, Sydney Copeland Goodman, and Amanda Kipila (Young Fiona).

Performances will be held Friday and Saturday, July 31 and August 1, at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, August 2, at 3 p.m.; Thursday, August 6, at 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, August 7 and 8, at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, August 9, at 3 p.m.
